This comfortable apartment, decorated with heirloom pieces, is imbued with plenty of history and culture. Picture frames from India, antique silverware and Chinese vases all remind the home owner of his family and travels. The greatest design challenge was the irregularly shaped corners, which were conveniently transformed into functional areas—for instance, a daybed with drawers and a mini bar at the lounge. More space saving solutions were introduced in the kitchen, such as a swing door spice rack which conceals a panel board, and an unassuming utility room behind a sliding louvered door. All in all, it turned out to be a unique space, great for simply relaxing or entertaining family and friends.
