Lolli e Memmoli

Projects

Lolli e Memmoli from 1993 to today have led crystal chandeliers from the past into the present, entirely revamping their character without ever abandoning their timeless beauty.

From the beginning, when Ivan Lolli and Mario Memmoli, trained as architects, set up their atelier in southern Milan, they worked on assembling technique that connects one crystal to the next without the presence of a structural cage. They started to eliminate the arms of traditional chandeliers freeing crystal glass from its heavy‐looking weight and liberating it from gravity.

Lolli e Memmoli have been able to freely develop asymmetrical shapes and light sculptures whose thousands of crystals release a sophisticated, twinkling glow that was perfect for contemporary spaces.

Success has brought Lolli e Memmoli to the foreground ever since the 1990s, and their brand is known all over the world.  Every peace, still today, is assembled manually and is the result of a constant aesthetic and technological exploration that limits the number of pieces produced and maintains direct control during each design phase.

In this sort of contemporary de-constructivism, solid and void are combined in the creation of a meticulous yet striking design. Three-dimensional forms made up of light mesh of crystals are available in an infinite range of colors and nuances, that is enriched every year with new, specially created shadings and tones.

In Lolli e Memmoli chandelier the crystals and the spaces between them concur equally toward the creation of a gloriously blazing cascade of brilliance, married to a truly contemporary geometric design.
