Clink Street, Flower Michelin Flower Michelin Living room

The property was originally an open plan duplex office space in a converted warehouse building on the bank of the Thames, which Architects Flower Michelin, along with interior designers Tessuto converted into a ‘Pied a Terre’ for the Clients and their 5 children. The space was fully refurbished throughout: an inspired use of bespoke cabin style beds installed on the lower floor formed a sleeping ‘den’ for all 5 children; new bespoke joinery was carefully located within the large open plan space on the main floor to form separated areas for living, cooking and for the parents to sleep. The original brickwork, steel beams and oak frames were left exposed to express the building’s historic past; exposed electrical conduits and cast iron radiators continued the industrial aesthetic, with new fabrics and soft furnishings introduced to provide a softness more suitable to a family home. With a spectacular view over the Thames from their balcony, this conversion has created a unique family home in the thriving Borough Market area.
