The residence we explore in this article has been attractively designed by the interior designers and decorators of TD Studio in Chennai. Every element of this beautiful three-bedroom house has been carefully chosen to represent the residents’ taste for contemporary design and comfort. A delightful combination of dark and light colours and patterns is spread across the house along with recessed lighting in appropriate locations to keep the home well illuminated. Using artistic backlit design to beautify the ceilings in every room, the designers have left nothing to chance. The result is a perfect combination of colour and decorative pieces that will inspire anyone to redecorate their home in the same manner.

Classic style dining room

The classic-style dining room is no less stylish than a fine-dining restaurant. The room has an unusual stone washbasin set on polished granite with a focus light overhead. A crockery cabinet is placed close to the table for convenience in setting up the table. The wood dining table and chairs are beautifully structured to provide comfort. The effect of ambient lighting on the ceiling creates a lovely atmosphere for enjoying food and discussions with the family.

Arresting wall decor

The use of light yellow on the walls of the living room and the backlit floating shelves take wall decor to a whole new level. The pretty decor accents and the suspended wall panels look stylish while the lights give a trendy finish to the living room, keeping in tune with modern interior design ideas.

Decorative shelves and ledges

The sleek in-wall decorative design adds to the charm of the stylishly modern living room. The wall panel holds all the essentials and also supports storage shelves and a rectangular cabinet. Dark wooden slats with lights within them add a touch of glamour to the region.  The drop-down glass chandelier is the highlight as it adds an element of luxury to the living room design.

Entertainment in the bedroom

Today, bedrooms have become multi-functional areas that go beyond the primary duty of providing a zone for sleeping and personal storage. This room has a complete entertainment system with television and Surround Sound for enjoying late-night movies from the comfort of the bed. The lighting on the ceiling of the bedroom can be used to create a theatre-like setting to enjoy movies or play games online without disturbing other residents.

Master Bedroom

The designers have applied unusual decor styles to give the stylish master bedroom an edge over regular bedroom layouts. Natural bamboo pieces and ambient lighting make the headrest area restful while storage space underneath the box bed can be used to stash winter rugs and extra bed linen. Besides sticking to warm and neutral tones, the designers have artfully balanced the lack of floor space by making built-in wardrobes with sliding doors, leaving ample space for moving around the room.

Stylish U-Shaped kitchen

Dressed in beige and rich browns, the modern kitchen is lined with multiple cabinets as well as drawers for easy storage. A mixture of ambient and industrial style lighting enhances the glossy finish of the cabinet shutters and highlights the breakfast bar in the far corner.

Heavenly door

The beautiful teak wood door with embedded brass artefacts speaks volumes about the extra care the interior designers have taken to meet the client’s requirement of creating a pooja area. The intricately carved murals and religious symbols make the design unique and create the perfect setting for prayer.
