3. Partition for privacy

If you want to create a private dining space for your family separate from the social area of the home without compromising in style or sacrificing precious space, then tuck in a stylish dining table in the challenging corner created by multifunctional partition that separates living from dining room and acts as showcase from living room side and crockery unit from dining side. You can also think of bringing home an expandable dining table like here. The wooden board which is acting like a leg can be pulled open to expand the table when needed.

4. Managing the space

Compact home doesn’t mean compromising in style and feeling flustered over lack of space. Compact home means challenging your design acumen and management skills and harnessing the most out of limitation. Definitely get at least one sofa-cum-bed. Use the wall from floor to ceiling to build a storage space, but make sure that the wardrobe has sliding doors. It saves on space.

5. Hidden storage

Look for ways to make space for hidden storage since you will need them the most in small homes. Under the bed storage, windowpane with sitting and storage all around it, dresser hiding a wardrobe behind it… think creatively and try to create storage space. It will help in the long run.

It will be handy even for the family with kid living in one room apartment.

7. Fall to become the dining table

9. Grooming the sink space

Smart thinking and clever ideas can transform a small home into an elegant abode. The one challenging spot is the sink area. If it happens to be in passage, it needs special attention since it falls in the active area of the home which experience constant traffic and notice. Show your creativity here, you can make some structural change there and make it different from the rest of space to make it special. The generous use of stones has made the humble sink the centre of attraction here.

10. Expand the limit

Take the liberty to expand the small home and make it open and welcoming, even for the nature. Take the balcony indoor and make it a part of home with its décor. Create sections with greenery, swing and then the formal seating, but make it merge into one another so that no one can make out your expansion.
